ZTE Corporation has hosted the Global Wireless User Conference and 5G Summit in L ‘Aquila, Italy, where ZTE’s first 5G field site in Europe is located.

Addressing the development of 5G and the implementation of 5G commercial applications, representatives from the world’s leading telecom operators and industry partners attended this event, so as to embrace the new era of cloud intelligent network.

ZTE teams up with the Innovation Research Center of University of L’Aquila to provide the entire Europe with end-to-end 5G solutions, thereby laying a solid foundation for the research projects in European Union.

At the Innovation research Center where the event was held, the ultra-broadband, low-latency 5G mobile system, drone HD live broadcast and VR provided by ZTE 5G field trial enable visitors to witness some unreachable landscapes from different angles. Moreover, ZTE also showcased the seismic monitoring sensor based on wireless systems.

Moreover, ZTE debuted its 5GC automation integrated solution during the Global Wireless User Conference and 5G Summit. This solution is capable of realizing the on-demand deployment and efficient delivery, thereby helping operators building a high-quality telecom cloud network.

Bolstered by innovative technologies and solutions, ZTE helps operators rapidly realize 5G commercialization.

Most notably, ZTE’s 5G-Ready all-RAT & all-site-scenario neat site solution can achieve efficient deployment and O&M of network, providing Pre5G with great service.

In terms of wireless access, ZTE’s 5G product portfolio, which is applicable to all scenarios & frequencies, is capable of meeting the requirements of the full-scene deployment.

As for core network, ZTE’s 5G Common Core complies with the latest 3GPP R15 SBA architecture and satisfies various application scenarios, such as fully convergent 2G/3G/4G/5G/Fixed and the vertical industry, enabling operators’ ICT transformation and the evolution to 5G.

In addition, Network Slicing based on 5G Common Core is able to provide an extraordinary video experience, demonstrating rapid deployment and launching of operators’ network slices.

“As a leading vendor in the wireless field, ZTE plays an important role in 5G and maintains large investment in R&D and technical innovations,” said Xiao Ming, SVP,President of ZTE Global Sales. He added, “in partnership with our customers and industry partners, ZTE explores the way to improve network value and efficiency with a decreasing cost, facilitating technological evolution and innovative transformation. By means of this event, we expect to explore the potential capacity of the existing network and to strengthen collaboration with industry partners to rapidly promote 5G industrialization.”

As one of the key 5G cities identified by Italian Ministry of Economic Development, L’Aquila was selected for a commercial trail and plans to launch commercial trials from 2018 to 2020.
