Transportes Gamboa Picks Motorola Solutions to Boost Real-time Comms

Transportes Gamboa, a Chilean transport and logistics provider, has implemented Motorola Solutions’ WAVE PTX to enhance communication and safety across its operations and support its goals for national expansion.

The cloud-based broadband push-to-talk solution is accessible across Transportes Gamboa’s fleet of vehicles and enables its workforce to stay connected across different networks, locations and devices, including Motorola Solutions’ TLK100 radios which access the service.

WAVE PTX, with nationwide coverage, will also allow Transportes Gamboa to enhance customer service by providing delivery status updates in real-time and improve safety for staff on the road. With WAVE PTX Dispatch, the company’s centralized control room will also have clear visibility of the routes taken by drivers. An emergency alert feature also allows delivery drivers to send urgent calls for assistance to their control room regardless of the type of device they are using.

“WAVE PTX helps us to maintain constant communication and resolve challenges when we are making deliveries,” said Ronald Gamboa, general manager of Transportes Gamboa. “In our first few months of using the solution, we have been able to drive cost savings, speed up deliveries and improve staff safety – all of which enables us to provide the highest levels of customer service.”

“WAVE PTX’s security features, such as location sharing and the emergency button, support Transportes Gamboa’s operational goals to deliver cargo safely, while promoting the wellbeing of personnel in the field,” said Jennifer Valenzuela, general manager of Mobilink, a Motorola Solutions company. “As Transportes Gamboa continues to grow, WAVE PXT will scale with the organization and aid the long-term communication needs of the team.”

The WAVE PTX service is carrier-independent and accessible via a flexible subscription service which can be hosted in the cloud or on premise. It is available through Mobilink, a Motorola Solutions company.
