Telia Company has appointed Eric Hageman as Executive Vice President, Group Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Group Executive Management team, effective September 15, 2023.
Hageman replaces Per Christian Mørland, who, as previously announced, will leave Telia at the end of September.
Eric Hageman has previously held senior executive positions at Royal KPN NV, including Group CFO and CEO of KPN Belgium (Base), and Group CFO roles at TelecityGroup Plc, IWG Plc and William Hill.
Eric started his career in London, working in M&A and Corporate Finance at Deutsche Bank and ABN Amro. Eric, born in 1970, holds an MBA from London Business School and an MSc in Business Economics from Maastricht University.
Allison Kirkby, Telia Company President and CEO, says: “I’m delighted to welcome Eric to Telia. Eric brings a wealth of experience from our sector and as a highly experienced chief financial officer who has led businesses during periods of change and transformation. Alongside his corporate finance experience, these skills are exactly what we need as we embark on the next phase of our strategy and pursue our mission to create a better Telia for everyone.”
Eric Hageman will join Telia Company in early September and formally take on the role as Group Chief Financial Officer on September 15. With this appointment, Tim Pennington, previously appointed interim CFO, will revert to an advisory position in the company.
Eric Hageman says: “I am excited to join Telia, which has a unique position in the Nordics and Baltics. The positive impact from digitalization for societies, public and private sector players, and consumers alike, have never been more important, and I am excited to continue the work with Allison and the team to drive profitable growth across the company and create value for all of Telia’s stakeholders.”
