Rogers has announced a multi-year partnership with Toronto Pearson as the Official Telecommunications Partner at Canada’s largest airport.

As part of the partnership, Rogers will have category exclusivity for media, branding, and advertising, and in-terminal brand experiences. The partnership also includes a premium Ignite TV lounge in Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 where travellers can catch the latest episodes of their favourite shows on the Rogers Ignite TV service.

“We’re really excited to announce this partnership with Toronto Pearson and bring our great Canadian brands to life for the hundreds of thousands of Canadians that go through Toronto Pearson everyday,” said Drew Stevenson, Vice President, Brand, Rogers Communications. “Together, our focus is on improving the airport experience and entertaining travellers while they wait for their flight, as well as offering unique advantages to Rogers customers.”

Toronto Pearson’s goal is always to work collaboratively with partners to bring one-of-a-kind experiences to travellers, and this partnership with Rogers will create bigger, better and more consistent in-terminal activations that will enhance the experience of the nearly 50 million travellers that pass through the airport every year.

“At Toronto Pearson, our focus is on providing our travellers with an elevated airport journey,” said Scott Collier, Vice President, Commercial and Terminal Services for Toronto Pearson. “We’re thrilled to announce this first of its kind partnership with Rogers, uniting an airport and an industry-leading telecommunications company, enabling us to provide innovative experiences and entertainment for our travellers from the first time they step foot in our terminal until they board their flights.”

The partnership will result in a number of enhancements to the travel experience at Toronto Pearson, including:

•a premium Ignite TV lounge for travellers to catch-up on their favourite shows while waiting for their flight on the new Rogers Ignite TV service;
•charging stations throughout Terminals 1 and 3 to ensure travellers’ devices are charged before their flight;
•convenient and premium work stations for business travellers;
•showcases of Rogers’ latest technology and next-generation innovations; and
•a reimagined and improved chatr retail footprint at International Arrivals that provides a free SIM card and a free phone call for travellers to anywhere in the world so that they can call family members back home when they arrive in Canada.
