Qualcomm Celebrates India’s Independence Day, Offers Free 5G Training

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is offering industry professionals across India its premier 5G training program for free to celebrate India’s Independence Day.

Until August 18th, any resident in India may register for the Qualcomm Academy 5G University Program, which is normally only for university students. While students may always access this career growth program for free, industry professionals must normally pay 41,000 INR for this training.

“5G is transforming key industries worldwide and in India, so it is important to understand how 5G technology works and how it can be applied to create India specific use cases across the professional landscape,” Savi Soin, SVP and President of Qualcomm India, said. “I am excited to see thousands of Indian students take advantage of this professional development opportunity to make India a global leader in 5G use cases.”

The 5G University Program is geared toward students, engineers and business professionals who are looking to learn about 5G, how it works, use cases, and more. The program includes eight hours of online and self-paced learning taught by industry-leading engineers from Qualcomm Technologies.

The 5G University Program is run by Qualcomm Academy, which is the training arm of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. Qualcomm Academy offers a wide range of AI, 5G, and other technology training to students, professionals, and companies around the world. The group is excited to offer this unique training program in India and hopes it will help upskill Indian engineers and business professionals in a growing field.
