Gameloft, a leader in the development and publishing of mobile games, and Honor, are partnering once again to offer up a brand-new gaming experience with an updated version of Modern Combat Versus that has been specially enhanced for the new Honor 7X.

Huawei’s most recent creation, the Honor 7X, is the manufacturer’s first device to adopt the 18:9 aspect ratio and the concept of an “edge-to-edge” screen. Likewise, Modern Combat Versus will be the first game reworked to allow it to take full advantage of the device’s whole screen.

Modern Combat Versus is a multiplayer first-person shooter that pushes the bounds of next-gen mobile gaming. Thanks to the Honor 7X‘s extra-wide 18:9 screen, Gameloft is enhancing the gameplay experience with benefits familiar to FPS gamers. A wider field of view, extending beyond the capabilities of regular 16:9 screens, increases the level of immersion and allows for greater strategic awareness during action-packed battles.

Additionally, Modern Combat Versus’ streamline controls and HUD (heads-up display) have been optimized to perfectly compliment the extra-wide screen of the Honor 7X. These optimizations allow for a streamlined and clutter-free user experience, which further empowers mobile gamers.

“We’re very pleased to be working with Honor once more, and to be able to showcase Modern Combat Versus’s unique visual signature yet again, but now on an even bigger screen,” noted Baudouin Corman, Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing at Gameloft. “Thanks to Honor, we’re able to provide that company’s growing, active community with an immersive gaming experience.”

“We’re happy to be pairing our technology with Gameloft‘s gaming know-how and ability to innovate,” added George Zhao, President of Honor. “Players make up a large section of our clientele.”

Honor has launched its new smartphone, the Honor 7X, in London on December 5, 2017.
