Apple and Nothing Drive Growth for Distribution Focused HP Telecom

Surat-based B2B technology and mobile device distributor HP Telecom India Limited has announced a standout set of financial results for the half year ended September 30, 2026, with revenue and profitability both climbing sharply on the back of stronger distribution momentum and festive-season preparation.

Revenue from operations reached ₹1,814.25 crore, an 85.3% year-on-year increase from ₹979.09 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal . Profit After Tax jumped to ₹26.30 crore, up 235.6% from ₹7.84 crore, while Profit Before Tax rose 232.4% to ₹35.53 crore . Earnings per share more than tripled to ₹22.07, compared with ₹6.58 a year earlier.

The company’s unaudited results, approved by the board on November 4, 2026, show total expenses rising in line with revenue, with the cost of stock-in-trade accounting for the bulk of spending . Despite the thin margins typical of distribution businesses, the improvement in profitability is notable: HP Telecom converted roughly 1.4% of revenue into net profit in this half, a meaningful expansion from the prior year.

What Is Driving the Growth

HP Telecom’s business is built on connecting technology brands with distributors and retail partners across India. The company holds authorised distribution relationships with Apple and Nothing, positioning it within the premium and aspirational segments of India’s mobile device market. That portfolio has benefited as consumer demand for smartphones and related technology products has remained resilient.

A key signal of management’s confidence is the strategic inventory build-up ahead of the festive season. Inventory stood at ₹273.21 crore as of September 30, 2026, more than double the ₹137.75 crore recorded at the end of March 2026. This suggests HP Telecom expects strong demand through the October–December period, when Indian consumer electronics sales typically peak.

Vijay Yadav, Managing Director, HP Telecom India Limited, said, “Our H1 FY26-27 performance reflects the progress we have made in strengthening our business and building a more robust foundation for growth. The 85% growth in revenue, alongside a significant improvement in profitability, is an encouraging milestone for us. India’s technology distribution market presents considerable opportunities as consumer demand, product innovation and the retail ecosystem continue to evolve. At HP Telecom, our focus is on building stronger partnerships, enhancing our distribution capabilities and creating long-term value across the ecosystem. We remain committed to pursuing sustainable growth while strengthening our position in the Indian technology distribution market.”

HP Telecom enters the second half of FY26-27 with a focus on consolidating its business momentum, strengthening its market presence and building deeper relationships across the technology distribution value chain. The company remains committed to creating long-term value through operational efficiency, strategic partnerships and a sustained focus on business growth.

What Comes Next

HP Telecom enters the second half of FY27 with a clear priority: consolidating momentum. The company has signalled a focus on operational efficiency, deeper relationships across the distribution value chain, and strengthening its market presence . The festive quarter will be the immediate test of whether the inventory build translates into sales, and whether the profitability gains of H1 can be sustained.

For a distribution business operating on slim margins, the scale of growth matters as much as the percentage. HP Telecom has demonstrated it can grow rapidly; the next challenge is proving that growth is durable.
