Fido joins IN Magazine to amplify diverse LGBTQ2S+ voices


As a proud supporter of the LGBTQ2S+ community, Fido has taken the spirit of Pride month and made it part of its DNA to keep the conversation going year-round.

Through initiatives like Connect to Accept, and a goal of driving positive social change, Fido has used its platform as a space to have important conversations led by BIPOC LGBTQ2S+ leaders.

These inspiring leaders have shared their stories, including the challenges and role of intersectionality in the lives of BIPOC members of the LGBTQ2S+ community.

To continue these important conversations and amplify critical voices in the community, Fido is proud to work with IN Magazine, Canada’s premier national LGBTQ2S+ lifestyle publication, to sponsor a series of articles throughout the year to amplify the voices of Canadian BIPOC and trans writers in the LGBTQ2S+ community.

Fido Solutions Inc. is a Canadian cellular telephone service provider owned by Rogers Communications Canada. Fido was the first carrier in Canada to launch a GSM-based network and the first wireless service provider in North America to offer General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) on its network.

Fido’s parent company, Rogers Communications, also operates another cellular service Rogers Wireless, Fido remains a separate entity and retains its own retail chain, customer service call centres, network servers and CEO. Fido pioneered the concept of providing unlimited service in select Canadian cities.
