CenturyLink, Inc., a technology leader in hybrid networking, cloud connectivity and security solutions, announced an agreement to provide critical networking solutions on a global level for Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises, Inc. (B&W), a global leader in energy and environmental technologies and services for the power and industrial markets. The agreement spans all segments of B&W’s global operations.
“B&W, like CenturyLink, is an innovative technology company and we look forward to working together to implement next-generation network services that reinforce our company’s commitment to providing both the highest quality products and services and the highest value for our customers,” said Tisa Mullis, B&W Chief Information Officer. “CenturyLink’s technology and skills will create a strategic advantage to help us achieve our business goals as we work to drive growth, increase resiliency, reduce costs and enhance network security.”
CenturyLink, in collaboration with CXT 180, Novom Group and Cisco, is providing B&W with a fully managed SD-WAN solution powered by Cisco Meraki, as well as dedicated internet, broadband internet, and Cisco managed security services to help enable B&W’s cloud-first strategy. The transformation will be complete by early 2020.
“As a proven technology leader, we are well suited to work with a forward-driven company like Babcock & Wilcox that is committed to its industry and customers,” said Garrett Gee, senior vice president, indirect sales, CenturyLink. “CenturyLink is dedicated to providing secure and reliable services on a global level.”
