Aviat Networks, Inc., a global microwave networking solutions provider, has unveiled ODU LLR, a new tower top low latency microwave radio specifically built to support financial trading applications.

The ODU LLR utilizes Aviat’s new low latency modem technology designed to significantly reduce per hop latency to the “low nanoseconds” and enable the largest number of contiguous repeater hops for the industry’s lowest end-to-end latency solution.

ODU LLR also delivers higher output power than any other low latency product in the market, which leads to smaller antennas, longer reach and more reliability. The product is compliant to all microwave related standards, supports extended temperature ranges, and enables detailed performance monitoring for easy troubleshooting and maintenance.

“With this product, Aviat again extends its leadership position for end-to-end latency,” states Ola Gustafsson, senior vice president and chief product officer, Aviat Networks. “Product innovations for latency, system resiliency and manageability, combined with comprehensive lifecycle services, makes Aviat the top choice for low latency networks worldwide.”

In addition to products, Aviat offers complete turnkey solutions for network feasibility, design, installation and management allowing low latency customers to focus on their business while trusting their networks to Aviat.
