Globally recognized innovative products provider, Apple Inc is now said to be working on curved displays and advanced capacitive touch systems that can detect greater ranges of pressure. In a typical Apple business style, this is surely set to further stretch the innovation drive and set new boundaries for others to follow.

Experts close to the industry say that the company would release two models, in keeping with this year’s dual iPhone launch. One device will have an Apple-standard 4.7-inch screen and the other will have a 5.5-inch display, making it Apple’s first phablet-category handset, and better competing with products from Samsung.

It is also believed that the screens on both devices will curve downwards at the edge, unlike the Samsung Galaxy Round and the LG G Flex, which both curve along their axes. This is set to create a new space and following for this device. It is important to note that, in the past, analysts close to the industry have been criticizing Apple Inc for not introducing a phablet device (defined as more than 5-inches in screen size) as it is a fast-growing sub-category within smartphones.
