ALE’s Rainbow Cloud Communication Service Coming to India Soon


With an aim to accelerate its emphasis on cloud adoption within the enterprise segment, Alcatel Lucent Enterprise (ALE) is set to introduce its Rainbow Cloud Communication Service in India.

Quite recently, ALE expanded its cloud offerings by becoming a cloud service provider, delivering flexible Unified Communication (UC) services. The company will soon introduce Alcatel-Lucent Rainbow, a new, cloud-based freemium service operated by ALE.

Rainbow offers customers technology investment protection regardless of existing communications systems. As an overlay, it has rich feature capabilities, simplified deployment and easy adoption. Features of Rainbow include IM, rich presence, voice and video conversation including screen and file sharing.


Recently, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE) hosted an event for its existing and potential customers in India. The event was inaugurated by Jean-Marc Fenet, Minister Counsellor and Head of the Regional Economic Department, India and South Asia, Embassy of France, New Delhi.

During the event, Fenet highlighted the close collaboration between France and India emphasizing the investments being made by France in the IT sector and Smart City projects.

Sanjay Sapru, Regional Director, South Asia, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise spoke about his company’s plans for the region and the company’s key partner ABSI.

During the event, introduction to ‘Rainbow’, the company’s cloud communication service was also given. The service will be launched shortly. The event had an attendance of nearly hundred people.
