Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Mumbai’s landmark infrastructure project — the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) to Aarey stretch of Mumbai Metro Line 3.
As the city gears up to commute on this new metro route, leading telecom operator Vi announced the successful completion of its network deployment across the entire underground stretch. With this, Vi customers traveling on underground route will experience uninterrupted connectivity across the entire 12.44 kilometer stretch.
Vi has set-up its network infrastructure across all 10 stations on the route – Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Vidya Nagari, Santacruz, Domestic Airport, Sahar Road, International Airport, Marol Naka, MIDC, SEEPZ and Aarey Colony. To ensure seamless network connectivity for its customers, Vi has deployed in-building solutions (IBS) inside the underground metro tunnel.
Commenting on this initiative, Shailendra Singh, Operations Director, Vodafone Idea, said, “The inauguration of Aarey to BKC underground Metro corridor is a long-cherished dream for the people of Mumbai. As the city’s leading telecom operator, we are delighted to share that our network deployment across this metro route will offer an uninterrupted and seamless experience to our customers.”
