TRAI Intervention: Reliance Jio Set to Withdraw its Summer Surprise Offer

After being advised by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to withdraw its ongoing Summer Surprise offer – Reliance Jio is in the process of fully complying with the regulator’s advice and discontinue its Summer Surprise Offer.

It may be recalled that on March 31st Jio had announced its Summer Surprise offer as part of which, all Jio prime members making their first recharge payment of INR 303 or higher plans, got three months complimentary services in addition to the benefits of their purchased plan.

TRAI has advised Jio to withdraw three months complimentary benefits of Jio Summer Surprise.

In a statement, Jio has mentioned that the company has accepted this decision by TRAI.

“Jio is in the process of fully complying with the regulator’s advice, and will be withdrawing the 3 months complimentary benefits of Jio summer surprise as soon as operationally feasible, over the n ext few days,” the statement adds on.

On the other hand, Jio has also confirmed that all customers who have subscribed to Jio summer surprise offer prior to the discontinuation will remain eligible for the offer.
