Telekom Malaysia Berhad is on a mission to empower SMEs with digital transformation – it is engaged in its annual SME event – SME BizFest™ 2017. Carrying the 2017 theme – “Innovate to Dominate: Go Digital”, this is the third leg of the 5-venue-roadshows.

This event is targeting the Malaysian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) from start-up to mass business level; as well as aspiring entrepreneurs who have passion to succeed in the business arena.

Speaking at the event, Imri Mokhtar, Executive Vice President, Consumer and SME, TM said, “SMEs in Malaysia contributes a significant share of the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP), reflecting the important role of the local SMEs towards the economic growth. It goes without saying that no matter what is the size of your business is, to be continuously innovative and keeping abreast with the latest market trend is essential to remain relevant in the market. Having said that, it is a necessity for SMEs to adopt the digital way of doing business.” Also present at the event was Azman Yusof, State General Manager, TM Kelantan.

SME BizFest™ 2017 is divided into two (2) major components; the Conference Session featuring a lineup of speakers and business icons who will be sharing tips and experience in business and also advice on ways to overcome business challenges.

The second component of SME BizFest™ 2017, the Experiential Hub, features relevant Digital solutions and products for SMEs to address key market challenges. More than 20 partners and exhibitors showcase their latest ICT solutions and other business tools that will help SMEs to Engage Prospect, Empower Staff and Enhance Customer Experience.

Besides the Conference and Experiential Hub area, SME BizFest™ 2017 also gathers relevant Partners and Supporters who will be sharing latest information on their respective field of expertise. Among the partners who will assist local SMEs in Kota Bharu via their exhibition showcase and pocket talks during SME BizFest™ 2017 are National Human Resource Centre (NHRC), Bank Islam, New Entrepreneurs Foundation (myNef) and Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM).

This event is endorsed by SME Corporation of Malaysia and Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), with Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad as the Platinum Partner and JomPay (MyClear) as the Silver Partner.
