Tel Q Global Taps Cataleya for global voice network virtualisation

Cataleya enables the complete virtualization of Tel Q Global's international voice network through its superior technology and global footprint, resulting in significant cost savings and operational simplicity.

To operate a scalable and simplified voice network cost effectively are key challenges operators have to address to meet their customers expectation while maintaining their key business objectives and performance.

Tel Q Global needed a Switching and BSS solution in 3 global regions to be able to launch their new global virtual number solutions, like Mobile and Two-Way SMS numbers in addition to their existing portfolio of DID & Tollfree numbers in the shortest period of time possible.

In addition, the nodes need to serve as geographic backup sites for each other in case a major disruption in one of the hosting centres occurs.

Cataleya's Voice Wholesale CPaaS platform 'Orchid Cloud', now available in over 30 countries, is well placed to facilitate customer requirements across the globe, wherever needed. New deployments can be made available in days rather than months and at a fraction of the cost of traditional deployments.

Orchid Cloud is a Carrier grade solution that incorporates VoIP switching, rating, routing and billing on a consumption basis without any CAPEX spending. Multiple nodes can all be managed via one central user interface from anywhere in the world.

'Before we moved to Cataleya, we were dealing with numerous technology partners like Data Centers, SaaS and Billing companies to develop our technology stack. All this changed when Cataleya rolled out its CPaaS model consolidating the need to have multiple independent technology partners', says Ankit Agarwal, CEO of Tel Q Global.

'It has been very exciting to work with Tel Q Global's team to migrate all the active services to all the new nodes in Singapore, London and Miami in such a short period of time without affecting running services for their customers', say Andreas Hipp, CEO of Cataleya

'Cataleya's CPaaS model brings value and innovation to the industry at a time when profits are under pressure due to disruptive technologies. This is a real game changer for anyone who wishes to focus more on profitability and leave the network to specialists. Tel Q Global was able to realize an annual cost savings of over 40% by switching to Cataleya', adds Ankit Agarwal.

Cataleya has recently also added an A2P messaging platform to its hosted cloud portfolio and is launching additional services that benefit international operators in making their operation more cost effective and agile to cater for new services and requirements.
