Tata Docomo, the unified brand of Tata Teleservices, is planning to enhance the 3G network coverage and presence in the region by adding an additional 1000 cell sites, to increase its network footprints to over 3100 cell sites by July 31st 2014.
The 3G network coverage will be extended to total of 53 towns across Karnataka, covering all major cities/towns namely Bagalkot, Shimoga, Bellary, Tumkur, Chikmaglur, Bhadravati, Chikballapur, Chitradurga, Davangere, Raichur, Gagag, Gokak, Kolar, Mandya, Gangavathi, Gadag, Sira, Madikeri, Koppal, Yadagir, Hassan to the already existing 10 major towns namely Bangalore, Mysore, Mangalore, Manipal, Udupi, Hubli, Belgaum, Dharwad, Hospet and Gulburga in Karnataka.
Additionally, Tata Docomo has made significant investments in the expansion of its retail footprint. With the strength of over 50,000 retail outlets in the region, the brand has garnered immense trust and popularity amongst its customers in Karnataka.
