Exponentially expanding its global reach, Taqua, LLC, a US based supplier of mobile and fixed communications solutions, has announced a number of new partnerships with leading mobile telecommunications systems integrators and solutions providers to help fulfill demand for its Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWiFi) portfolio in Asia, the Middle East and Latin America.

These new partnerships extend Taqua’s existing presence in North America and Europe to key growth regions, allowing the company to serve a growing list of mobile communications service providers that are interested in deploying VoWiFi to improve indoor service coverage.

This new set of Taqua partners will sell and support the company’s Virtual Mobile Core and Mobile Client solution, which enables VoWiFi and Voice over LTE (VoLTE) services utilizing an operator’s existing mobile infrastructure without requiring expensive or complicated upgrades.

“Mobile operators and MVNOs worldwide are realizing the growing importance of Wi-Fi Calling as a value-added service that solves real-world coverage issues for incumbents, and provides a fast, cost effective on-ramp to advanced voice and messaging services for new providers,” said Gary Sarson, vice president of business development for Taqua. “We’re excited to work with our new regional partners to make VoWiFi technology accessible on a global scale, and to extend Wi-Fi Calling benefits to millions of mobile subscribers.”
