STL Networks Limited, operating under the Invenia brand, has emerged as the L1 bidder for RailTel Corporation of India Limited for an approximately ₹250 crore integrated cloud infrastructure & data center transformation project.
STL Networks will be responsible for end-to-end design, deployment, and integration of the cloud infrastructure project across RailTel’s Data Centre (DC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) sites in Gurugram and Secunderabad. The project will strengthen RailTel’s cloud platform serving government, PSU, and enterprise customers.
As part of the project, STL Networks will modernise the underlying infrastructure to support growing demand for secure, reliable and compliant government cloud services, fully aligning with MeitY Cloud Service Provider guidelines, Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 and Make in India local content standards.

Under the order, STL Networks will build a secure, scalable, and highly available multi-tenant private cloud environment across RailTel’s DC and DR sites. The scope includes compute, cloud management, software-defined networking, backup and storage, enterprise operating systems and databases, automation, and near real-time DC-DR replication. It will also integrate with RailTel’s existing infrastructure and support the phased migration of current workloads. The project is scheduled for commissioning within 180 days and includes five years of comprehensive warranty support.
The engagement further builds on Invenia’s experience in delivering integrated, mission-critical digital infrastructure, including 47 data-centre projects and over ₹4,000 crore of data-centre projects delivered.
The RailTel platform will combine a multi-tenant private-cloud architecture with workload micro-segmentation and DC-DR capabilities, helping ensure data security, high availability, and business continuity. Resilient and compliant infrastructure has become central to the continuity of public services as government departments increasingly move critical applications to the cloud.
