StarHub, Disney partner to bring Marvel experiences to Singapore fans

StarHub and The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia (Disney) today announced a two-year collaboration to deliver unique Marvel experiences to StarHub customers through exclusive privileges, experiential events and promotions.

The collaboration will also see the two companies come together to bring Marvel’s beloved cast of characters to various StarHub customer touchpoints such as its social media platforms, StarHub Rewards programme, StarHub Shops and events.

Revolving around Earth’s mightiest heroes, the collaboration will span across four upcoming Marvel Studios movie titles: Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel and the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War.

“Avengers: Infinity War is widely expected to be the blockbuster hit of the year and is the perfect time for both companies to collaborate and explore innovative ways to engage fans,” said Howie Lau, Chief Marketing Officer of StarHub. “Marvel is one of the world’s most loved brands and we are thrilled to partner Disney to offer even more exclusive privileges to our customers. This is in line with our commitment to delight customers with a 360° entertainment offering, which covers our pay TV content, movie screenings and experiential events.”

With the anticipation over Avengers: Infinity War reaching fever pitch, the first wave of activities kicks off with a superfan Facebook contest, which is open to all StarHub customers. One lucky fan will win a pair of VIP fan box tickets to get up close and personal with Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Karen Gillan (Nebula) and director Joe Russo at the red-carpet fan event at Marina Bay Sands on 16 April 2018.

All StarHub Mobile postpaid, Pay-TV and Broadband customers can participate in the StarHub-Marvel Studio’s Avengers: Infinity War Lucky Draw. Customers can also use their rewards points to redeem for extra chances of winning. Every 100 points will entitle customers to one extra chance in the lucky draw.

The grand prize winner of the lucky draw contest will walk away with a Marvel-themed adventure to Las Vegas which includes a visit to the Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. interactive exhibit. Other prizes include a life-sized Infinity Gauntlet worth $1,100 and highly sought-after superhero collectibles. Experiential events such as exclusive screenings of Marvel Studios movies will also be held for StarHub customers.

To bring Marvel and its characters up close and personal with customers, the StarHub Shop in Bugis Junction will undergo a Marvel makeover. When completed in the second quarter of 2018, the shop will be fully decked out with a Marvel showcase, enabling customers to experience the best of everything Marvel and StarHub have to offer.

In the near future, StarHub customers can look forward to more unique Marvel-centric promotions. Detailed information will be revealed at a later date.
