SaskTel has launched interNET Extended 50 in nine more rural communities, including: Abernethy, Asquith, Bethune, Eston, Hepburn, Kerrobert, Unity, Waldheim, and Wilkie. Offering download speeds up to 50 Mbps, interNET Extended 50 is the fastest rural internet service SaskTel has ever offered.
“An internet connection is a powerful tool that can open the door to a seemingly endless number of opportunities,” said Don Morgan, Minister Responsible for SaskTel. “Thanks to SaskTel’s latest round of rural internet upgrades the people and businesses that call these nine communities home are now better equipped than ever to take full advantage of those opportunities.”
With the introduction of interNET Extended 50, residents and businesses in all nine communities have a variety of SaskTel interNET Extended packages to choose from with download speeds ranging from 5-50 Mbps.
“As Saskatchewan’s leading and local communications provider, we understand that when it comes to an internet connection speed is everything,” said, Doug Burnett, SaskTel President and CEO. “With our interNET Extended 50 service we’re raising internet speed limits all over rural Saskatchewan, making it easier for our customers to connect to their worlds than ever before.”
All SaskTel interNET Extended packages also come with unlimited usage, in-home Wi-Fi, and 24/7 helpdesk support.
SaskTel plans to invest $321 million of capital in 2019/20 in Saskatchewan and over $1.4 billion through 2018-2023. These investments will ensure that all Saskatchewan residents continue to receive some of the best communication and entertainment services in the world.
