Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra: Design Elements
Galaxy Note series devices have always carried a unique signature in their form factor, design and this device is no different. With Galaxy Note 20 Ultra – Samsung has pushed the boundaries of innovation further ahead. It has a 6.9-inch screen, the curved sides and narrow borders all around. It's still more than a handful – but still quite easy to carry.
It carries 208g weight and Samsung has used Corning's new Gorilla Glass Victus to strengthen the screen and the back of this phone, however, the camera lenses are protected by a panel of Gorilla Glass 6 layer.
The rear side of this device carries a frosted matte finish. This is delivering a unique shiny touch to the frame and helps the device completely stand out and look sharp. Samsung has also decided to deliver an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance to this device.
The power and volume buttons are on the left side, and there is no Bixby button on this device. The S-Pen silo has been moved to the left side of the bottom. A light press pops it out partially, and then you have to pull it out.
Extraordinary Camera Setup
Samsung has used the Exynos 990 in this device. This is an octa-core chipset that comes with two high-performance custom 2.7GHz cores, two more 2.5GHz Cortex-A76 cores, and four more power-efficient 2GHz Cortex-A55 cores. It features an integrated Mali G77MP11 GPU as well.
Samsung is offering the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra with 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. This is a hybrid dual-SIM phone, which means that you can use an eSIM instead of a second physical SIM, which frees the second physical slot for a microSD card.
The 6.9-inch QHD+ screen has curved sides and carries a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz. With the help of variable refresh rate feature – this device can help you select between 60Hz and ‘Adaptive', which dynamically scales up to 120Hz but can also scale down to 30Hz or 10Hz refresh rate. This feature helps in considerably improving the battery efficiency of the device and hence greatly enhancing the user experience.
With this device Samsung is delivering a powerful 4500mAh battery and USB-PD fast charging, which means you can share the same charger with a laptop. Samsung is giving a 25W charger in the box. There's also Qi wireless charging and reverse charging capability available in this device.

The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra comes running Android 10. While reviewing this device, we used it as our PC for about a week and the experience was quite astonishing. Everything I do on my PC was shifted on to this device and it is quite safe to say that it enhanced the productivity levels. Two of its software capabilities in the form of Samsung Notes App and the DeX desktop experience play an important role here.
