Keeping in mind the need to deliver better value proposition for the end user, Salora International Limited has unveiled its “Arya” Brand of Smartphones, to be made exclusively available with e-commerce portal Amazon.in at Rs 6999.
The partnership has paved the way for an aggressive customer pricing through a much lower cost of distribution and reduced marketing overheads, leveraging the scale and reach of the marketplace.
With a theme of “Beyond the Ordinary” Z2, the first smartphone from Arya brand, has a 12.7 cms (5”) HD IPS screen that provides a vivid display across a wide viewing angle. The OGS (one glass solution) screen with full lamination reduces the thickness of the device and provides a superior touch experience. The thin form factor and the metallic insert on a matte body give the phone a contemporary and stylish appeal.
The Arya Z2 has an 8MP (Interpolated to 13MP) auto-focus camera with a Sony BSI sensor. It supports HD recording and a host of smart features like smile detection, Voice activated Camera Operation and high speed continuous shooting. The BSI sensor and the LED flash allow for detailed images even in low-light situations. The 2MP (Interpolated to 5MP) front camera makes great selfies and supports 3G video calling.
The dual SIM Arya Z2 runs on a 1.3 GHZ Quad Core Mediatek (6582A) processor, backed by a 1GB RAM and 4GB ROM. The device supports a micro and regular sized SIM with 3G data connectivity on both SIM cards with a switchover in just seconds, a boon for frequent travelers.
The Z2 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box providing the user the latest Android experience. The device also supports EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB OTG Connectivity. A 1800mAh Lithium Polymer battery provides enough juice for over 8 hours of talk-time on a 3G network.
Unlike a host of new brands mushrooming in the country, the Arya smartphone is backed by SALORA’s own established service network from “SILCARE” which has over 250 service centers across 189 cities pan India.
