Robi, MetroNet partner to provide connectivity to Cloud Customers in Bangladesh

Robi has formed a partnership with the leading Internet Service Provider (ISP), MetroNet Bangladesh Limited, to provide connectivity to its Cloud service customers.

MetroNet is the first ISP with whom Robi has entered into such an agreement to support its growing cloud service business in the enterprise business segment of the country.

Robi’s Managing Director and CEO, Mahtab Uddin Ahmed and MetroNet’s CEO, Syed Sadat Almas Kabir signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations at the Robi Corporate Office.

Under this agreement, MetroNet will be providing connectivity for Robi Cloud service customers either through a point-to-point connectivity or connectivity over reliable internet. Robi Cloud customers may choose to opt for Public IP and get the bandwidth of their choice with unlimited Data transfer.

Robi’s Chief Commercial Officer, Pradeep Shrivastava, Head of Connected Business Solutions, Zayed Sadat, Vice President, Corporate Strategy, Ahmed Armaan Siddiqui and Vice President, Enterprise Business, Abul Kalam Mohammad Nazmul Islam were present on the occasion.

From MetroNet, the company’s Senior Executive Vice President & Head of Finance & Company Secretary, Md. Mahbubul Alam, Senior Vice President, Rahat Khan and Assistant Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Md. Shahim Ahmed were present.

Robi is the first telco in Bangladesh to provide the Cloud solutions to the business community. Robi Cloud is currently providing a slew of Cloud solutions, starting with Iaas (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) solutions, namely Server Co-location and Virtual Machines. Robi cloud solutions are highly secured and ensures high-performance at global standards.

Robi is steadfastly pursuing its goal of becoming the next generation digital company by 2020. Hence, this partnership marks a significant landmark in Robi’s journey of becoming the leader in the business-to-business space for digital services; it certainly accelerates the country’s drive towards a Digital Bangladesh as well.
