realme Launches realme X Series in China, Enters Domestic Smartphone Market

New smartphone brand realme has released its new realme X and realme X Lite in Beijing, marking the formal introduction of realme’s “Dare to Leap” brand philosophy to domestic customers in China.

The global launch of the realme X series delivers to Chinese consumers a full range of dare-to-leap experiences in terms of performance, design, quality and service.

Sky Li, the founder and CEO of realme said at the press conference, “realme’s original intention was to create products with a full range of new and unique experiences for young people. We built our ‘Dare to Leap’ concept based on this mission. We hope to provide young consumers with more surprising products within the same price range, and exceed their expectations, whether in design, performance, or quality.”

The Trendsetter: a Brand that Grows with the Young Generation

Realme’s global CMO Chase Xu introduced realme’s brand philosophy by sharing the stories of how it helps the young generation realize their dreams. “realme is a brand that deeply interacts with its users. We want to do everything we can to support them as they achieve their dreams.” When it comes to entering the domestic market, Xu added, “In the past year, realme has encouraged the young generation to get to know themselves and express themselves honestly through our brand visual system upgrade activities. In the future, realme hopes to continue growing alongside the youth and become a symbol for those at the forefront of new trends.”

realme X: Boldly Go Beyond industry norms

Derek Wang, Chief Product Officer at realme unveiled the “new species” that dare to leap, realme X and realme X Lite, and introduced how they reflect the company’s “Dare to Leap” philosophy. The realme X is equipped with the full screen feature, pop-up front camera, and behind-screen fingerprint unlocking. The rear camera is a Sony 48MP dual lens camera which supports Super Nightscape and Chroma Boost modes and other imaging functions. Under the hood, the phone boasts a robust Snapdragon 710 that supports VOOC flash charge 3.0. realme X is available in three variants – 4GB+64GB, 6GB+64GB, and 8GB+128GB – priced at RMB ¥1499(4GB+64GB),RMB ¥1599(6GB+64GB),RMB Y 1799(8GB+128GB), respectively.

As it provides the young generation with easier access, the realme X Lite also carries the “Dare to Leap” spirit, running on a Snapdragon 710 processor along with the adoption of latest VOOC flash charge 3.0, a 4045mAh battery. The smartphone also comes with dual-lens camera equipped with Sony IMX519 sensor with 16MP on the back, and a 25MP in the front. realme X Lite is available in 3 variants, with different pricing at RMB ¥1199 (4GB+64GB),RMB ¥1299 (6GB+64GB),RMB ¥1499(6GB+128GB).

Real Design: a Return to Functionality and Simplicity

As a brand that values design the most, realme invited the world’s top industrial design master, Naoto Fukasawa, to be the invited product design director. Inspired by the texture of peels from onions and garlic in our daily life, he works with realme to present two designs within the realme X Naoto Fukasawa collection with the price of RMB 1899 (8GB+128GB). Fukasawa’s “Without Thought Design” concept combined with realme’s “Real Design” philosophy, was inspired by the details in our lives, and will put focus on the functional requests of human beings and to functionality and simplicity. At today’s product launch event, realme special product design director Fukasawa said, “realme is a young brand with a young team. I believe that young people have the power to change the world, which is why I was excited to collaborate with the brand. I hope more young friends can join us as we discover more of the beautiful things life has to offer, and express the true nature of these beautiful things.”

realme comprises young people who “Dare to Leap”, who believe that “changing the world does not require seniority”. Now in the domestic China market, realme will continue to adhere to its core mission: to create a full range of superior experiences and products for the young people. realme X and realme X Lite are now open for pre-order on realme’s official website and three major e-commerce platforms – JD.com, T-mall and Suning.com – and will be officially available at 10 a.m. on May 20. On JD.com, realme will be sold through JD “Little Magic Cube”, an all-new marketing approach on the platform, and will be the very first smartphone brand to collaborate with Little Magic Cube. On T-mall, realme will be available to consumers at Juhuasuan.com. And for Suning.com, realme will serve its fans on a specifically designated day for new realme X products.
