RAD, a global leader in network access, has named Moshe Shimon, a 20-year telecommunications industry veteran, its new Vice President of Product and Marketing.
Shimon comes to RAD from Amdocs, where he managed that company’s Open Network OSS and NFV orchestration products and solutions. Before that, he was vice president of product management for ECI Telecom’s IP/MPLS and optical (DWDM) product lines. He has also worked for Telco Systems, rounding out his two decades of working with telecom network equipment.
“We believe that Moshe is a strong addition to RAD’s leadership team, and, having led long-term product strategy, has the experience to ensure that RAD will continue to lead the industry through its innovative solution portfolio,” said Udy Kashkash, President and CEO of RAD. “RAD is poised to continue its phenomenal growth, with the 5G transformation happening against the backdrop of global economic challenges.”
Shimon said he is confident that RAD has the technology and the solutions to meet those challenges.
“We are very well positioned to address the needs of service providers and critical organizations’ automation networks,” Shimon said. “From expanding and restructuring their networks to managing them, RAD has what providers need, and our objective is to help them recognize that.”
In his new role Shimon, who has a degree in electrical and communications engineering from Ben Gurion University and an MBA from the University of Haifa, succeeds Ilan Tevet.
