Optus Wholesale, Brennan IT Set to Accelerate Business Adoption of NBN

Leading managed services provider selects Optus network for nbn switch ahead of Special Service copper disconnections

Optus Wholesale has announced Brennan IT will migrate products and services to the nbn using Optus Wholesale Evolve, which delivers a business grade nbn service.

Brennan IT is among the first providers in Australia to switch business communications services to the nbnTM ahead of the November 2018 Special Services copper disconnections which currently support the business sector.

Brennan IT will gain access to all 121 nbnTM points of interconnect through the Optus network. It will connect customers via FTTP, FTTB and FTTN. This will enable Brennan IT to offer a standardised, consistent experience where nbnTM is available.

Andrew Stojcevski, Acting Head of Marketing and Product, Optus Wholesale explained that switching Special Services to the nbnTM is not an automatic process for most businesses.

'Service providers like Brennan IT must guide their customers through this significant industry moment,' said Stojcevski. 'Optus is excited to work with Brennan IT as it helps Australian businesses unlock the value of next-generation networks.'

Dayle Wilson, Brennan IT's Chief Operating Officer, said the Optus partnership was a key strategic moment for Brennan IT and its customers.

'Moving to the nbnTM will help our customers pursue their transformation projects more aggressively. We plan to migrate hundreds of copper services during the next 18 months,' he said.
