Optus has launched a new mobile plan that offers cash-conscious SMBs massive value and options across their communication costs.

With businesses under pressure to keep costs low and manage spending against a tough economic backdrop and fierce competition, Optus has delivered a new plan to keep them competitive.

The Optus Business Connect Plan provides up to four dedicated mobile numbers, a huge 250GB of monthly shared data and unlimited standard national talk and text for $149 per month.

The flexible month-to-month plan also includes unlimited standard international talk and text from Australia to 35 selected destinations. Plus businesses have the option to add up to four extra mobile numbers for $29/month each, with month-to-month Team Plans.

Optus Managing Director of SMB, Libby Roy, said the new plan delivers Australian businesses an affordable, simple way to stay connected.

“Mobile connectivity is critical to any small businesses operation and in response to our small business customers’ needs, we’ve introduced the Optus Business Connect Plan which is unique in market and designed specifically to address the new reality of work, and provide additional value and options to help small business owners succeed, connect with their customers in new ways and grow their ventures,” said Roy.

The $149 a month plan allows small businesses to use their devices freely to make calls, send texts and surf the web more than ever before, reducing the worry of high phone bills.

This new plan follows the recent release of Optus 5G Internet for Business which offers an untapped opportunity for many SMBs to have 5G digital connectivity at their core and transform the way they work and operate.

“We continually look at new ways to provide our business customers with exceptional value and the competitive advantage our premium network offers. Our new plan provides them with more control over their monthly costs, reducing the restraint of additional charges and confusing limits. This allows business owners to have more time to focus on what really matters, including their passions and growing their business,” added Roy.

Optus Business Connect Plan was created to support Australian small businesses increasingly reliant on more affordable mobile connectivity in the day-to-day running of their enterprises. This connectivity dependence was confirmed by a recent survey of Australian SMBs by Optus and Venture Insights, where 92% of those surveyed admitted that fast and reliable internet connectivity was either important or essential to their company.
