OnePlus, a global mobile technology startup, recently concluded its pop-up stores held across three continents and seven metropolitan cities covering, New York, Paris, London, Berlin, New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.

Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore among 7 cities globally for an event that witnessed over 8,000 people queueing up to review and buy the latest the flagship device OnePlus 3.

Consumers queued for hours and travelled from remote cities to experience the latest flagship OnePlus 3, meet the OnePlus team in person, and purchase to the device that is usually sold online exclusively on Amazon.in.

All units available for sale at these stores received an overwhelming response and were sold out. OnePlus proves to be the only company other than Apple to incite this type of excitement from its fans during a new product launch. The unprecedented response across the world has also validated the enormous untapped demand for premium smartphones.

In addition to product demo for OnePlus 3 devices, the other popular attraction was live displays of OnePlus’ proprietary Dash Charging technology that promises a full day’s power in half an hour. Dash Charging also allow users to safely quick charge their smartphone even while talking, playing memory intensive games or watching videos without any risk of overheating.

These events signify a radical shift in the way consumer brands, such as OnePlus are fulfilling their promise to their community. The pop-up store is an innovative concept popularised by OnePlus as it beautifully complements its worldwide VR product launch strategy with series of localised offline events to connect better with its fans.

The pop-up events were a grand success as over 8,000 fans queued up at these events globally. In India, pop-up stores were hosted at premium lifestyle and fashion destinations such as The Collective (Delhi and Mumbai) and IndeLust (Bangalore) between 15th- 18th June 2016.
