LS telcom has completed five-year implementation of its spectrum management system SPECTRA Enterprise at ISED, “Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada”, for 500 concurrent users, on time and within the initially specified budget.
The contract included the delivery and installation of the spectrum management system SPECTRA Enterprise as well as professional services, training and maintenance of the system.
LS telcom’s SPECTRA Enterprise system covers the frequency assignment and coordination of all Canadian radio communication services. It offers work management of administrative tasks such as equipment certification and investigation.
The system is integrated into ISED’s Government internet platform and is available to staff and clients in both, English and French. Five-hundred administrative and technical users across Canada can access the highly modern system from 40 local offices and from the field via internet connection using Citrix.
The system first went operational at the end of 2013 covering the frequency assignment processes for fixed services. Since then, LS telcom has completed the implementation of fixed, broadcast and land mobile services as well as all other communication services.
The project started in August 2011 with a detailed business process and business requirements analysis. The implementation included the analysis and migration of various existing legacy databases, systems, workflows and processes and their integration into the SPECTRA Enterprise system environment.
LS telcom continues to support ISED by providing maintenance services for the SPECTRA Enterprise system.
