LeEco is a Beijing, China based conglomerate which is creating market disruptions in the smartphone segment by offering its innovative content driven ecosystem model. The company has unveiled its latest LeEco Le Max2 smartphone in India in the month of June 2016.
LeEco is not like any other smartphone focused organization – this is a unique technology player that is amalgamating hardware and content and bringing an array of technology devices – including next generation televisions, smart bikes and is also working towards bringing its electric supercar in the market very soon.
This is one company that firmly believes in the power of ecosystem driven approach towards selling next generation products. The company’s founder Jia Yueting has mentioned that LeEco is looking forward to a day when hardware will be totally free and consumers will only pay for the content.

Le Max2 in India is coming in two options: 4GB RAM + 32GB storage at Rs 22,999, while the 6GB RAM version costs Rs 29,999.
Working on this unique philosophy of content driven ecosystem – its smartphones are bundled with LeEco’s Supertainment Package with content worth INR 4,900 being given away free. Riding high on its innovative spirit, LeEco has also got rid of the 3.5-mm headphone jack and introduced a new class of headphones based on the next generation – Continual Digital Lossless Audio (CDLA) technology and these are powered via the Type-C USB port. This is a surely the next level in sound – as we felt clear differentiation in sound while listening with CDLA. With this technology, the sound is crispier and carries more depth.
Le Max2 is a premium smartphones that comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. This smartphone also has a 6GB RAM option, and we find it extremely useful especially when you have to put in a lot of load on RAM today. Coming from its powerful processor, this smartphone delivers a power packed performance.
Le Max2 has a 2K display, which is bright and vivid and enables great viewing angles. This is a great option especially looking at the price point of this smartphone. While its opponents such as OnePlus 3 and Mi 5 provide a full HD display, Le Max2 offers a high resolution in the same price-range. Additionally, LeEco has also enabled Android Marshmallow’s Adaptive Display feature in the settings of this device.
Driven by its display, this smartphone is an ideal device to watch video content and while reviewing this device, we almost used this as a TV and watched movies and live streaming of Brazil Olympics 2016 as well.
While we reviewed this smartphone, it has not given any trouble and performed quite smoothly when it comes to enabling smooth running of Apps, camera functions, gaming and browsing. We did not experience any heating issue with this device as well.
Excellent Camera!
While reviewing this device, we took it to Hanoi, Vietnam and experienced the real power behind its flawless camera. The best part comes from the fact that Le Max2 camera takes minimal time to autofocus and hence, taking difficult shots becomes very easy.

We have taken some great pictures with this device while roaming around the city of Hanoi in Vietnam.
The photos taken from this smartphone carry a vivid and sharp tone – especially when the pictures are taken in daylight and we were extremely happy with the response time of the camera.
This smartphone camera comes with a PRO mode for those who want to change settings actually go towards composing their own picture. When we clicked pictures with this device – it was quite a smooth performance, the colors were pretty accurate and up to the mark.

At a time when there are many smartphones in the market that offer minimum capabilities when it comes to low-light photography – LeMax 2 has performed in a much better manner. The performance of the Le Max2 doesn’t disappoint whether it is low light or even while taking pictures in the night light.

On the battery front, Le Max2 lasted more than 15 hours for me while we used it on a moderate level, this is a great performer, especially when you take into consideration the 2K Display that this device is offering.
Final Verdict
LeEco’s Le Max2 delivers a great performance with its 6GB RAM and totally justifies its price point. It has a wonderful camera that can make anybody a super photographer in no time. The overall performance of this smartphone can match with any other competitor in the market today.
When it comes to gaming, video streaming, taking pictures, browsing internet or making regular phone calls – this is a multi-tasking device that comes with 2K display.
