Reboot Systems, a technology refurbishing focused company has entered into the refurbished fitness technology products segment with the launch of the Jawbone UP24 at its Experience Centres and Zones spread across 12 states in India.

The fitness tracker bands will be available for a special introductory price of INR 3,999 till Christmas at the Reboot Experience Centres & Zones. It is worth noting that a new Jawbone UP24 costs around INR 8,000 but Reboot has now made an ‘as good as new’ Jawbone accessible to a larger section of people who are wanting to monitor their health very closely.

Apart from the company’s retail network, the fitness tracking device will also be available on Reboot’s online store ‘therebootstore.com’. The price of the product on the online store is INR 4,399.

With the kind of sedentary lifestyle that most of us live these days, a fitness tracker becomes a highly effective means of getting an insight into one’s habits and modify them for a healthier lifestyle.

Unfortunately, the relatively high cost of the products available in the market has prohibited a lot of people in India from adopting this technology. Now, with Reboot Refurbished Jawbones, people will have access to this much-needed product at almost half the market price. Moreover, with a national replacement protection plan of up to one year, people have the assurance of buying a quality product.

Reboot’s product lines have so far included PCs (desktops and laptops), PC peripherals and mobility devices. In the mobility device line, only IPhones and IPads were available till date but Reboot is now introducing refurbished Microsoft Surface Tablets (32GB) at a special Christmas offer price of INR 11,999.

As per Rahul Chowdhury, CEO & Co-Founder, Reboot Systems India, “Reboot had so far been a B2B focused enterprise and was catering primarily to the refurbished IT products requirements of corporates. Now we have made a strategic shift in our business model to focus equally on the B2C segment, we aim to eventually offer all chip-based products which are less than 7kg in weight. Within the next couple of months, we will be introducing gaming consoles and a new range of peripherals such as speakers, bluetooth devices and USB ports.”

Gurgaon-based Reboot started operations in November 2012 and has since then grown at the rate of 300% annually. This Microsoft registered refurbisher currently has 20 Experience Centres and Zones across 12 states and plans to have a nationwide presence with over 250 Centres by March 2017 apart from the entire e-commerce ecosystem.

“Refurbishment is a globally recognized phenomenon but is at a nascent stage in India. Being the country’s largest player in the technology refurbishment space, we are taking several measures to reach out to the consumers and instill confidence in them about buying refurbished products. Apart from launching several new consumer technology products as well as retail zones/points where people can touch and see a refurbished product, we have also introduced an EMI mode of payment which would further encourage people to buy Reboot refurbished products. Along with a strenuous 16 point check that all our products go through during the refurbishment process so as to make them cosmetically and functionally as good as new, we also give a national replaceable warranty of up to one year on our products which has gone a long way to instill confidence among the end consumers.” Rahul Chowdhury said.
