Innovation and Synergy | Sber Proposes Joint Sovereign AI Models to India

Alexander Vedyakhin, First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank, has proposed joint artificial intelligence projects with India at INNOPROM in New Delhi and outlined plans for bringing Sber’s AI solutions to the Indian market.

He noted that Sber sees significant potential for its solutions in healthcare, education and digital municipal services. SberHealth’s telemedicine platform, School 21 educational project and GigaDoc AI model for medical image analysis have already received positive feedback from local authorities and businesses. A legal framework is currently being established and partnership terms are being agreed for pilot implementation.

The proposed cooperation would focus on three areas: joint AI and robotics projects and laboratories involving companies and universities; internship programmes; and direct exchange of expertise in developing independent large language models.

Alexander Vedyakhin also proposed, with the support of the Indian leadership, holding a Developers’ Summit dedicated to sovereign AI models as part of the AI Journey conference in Moscow.
