Indosat Ooredoo, Transaksi Artha Gemilang Partner to Expand IMkas Services


Indosat Ooredoo, Indonesia’s leading digital telecommunication company in Indonesia, together with Transaksi Artha Gemilang (TAG), payment services company affiliated with Salim Group, are proud to launch the expansion of IMkas, the newest server based electronic money service for mobile users in Indonesia.

IMkas aims to complement Indosat Ooredoo’s digital solutions, encourage the adoption of digital payments and increase financial inclusion in Indonesia.

IMkas is a tool to “Enjoy Convenience on One Hand”, which offers a new and easy way to execute and complete financial transactions. Using the IMkas application, users can purchase airtime credits and mobile data packages from all Indonesian mobile operators, electricity tokens, game vouchers, buy insurance for mobile handset, automobile and self, pay water bills, BPJS fees, QRIS transaction, money transfers between users, and other financial transactions. Users can also invest in gold using IMkas. IMkas comes in the form of a mobile application that can be downloaded on the Google PlayStore and Apple Store.

In addition, IMkas is also integrated with Indosat Ooredoo‘s digital ecosystem services, made available to users through the myIM3 application. It is easy for users to buy Indosat Ooredoo products in airtime credit or mobile data packages directly on the myIM3 application using their IMkas mobile money.

According to the 2021 Facebook and Bain Company Report, Indonesia has had the strongest growth of digital transformation in the last two years of the pandemic situation. One of the top insights said that Indonesia enjoys the highest growth rate in Southeast Asia. Its digital consumer population expected to grow from 144 million in 2020 to 165 million in 2021. That’s an additional 21 million people aged 15 years and older—a growth of around 15%.
