Holitech Technology to invest up to USD 1 billion in India by 2017

The three-day India-China mobile expo ‘India Mobile Diwali’, organized by Mobile World (Shoujibao), China’s leading Mobile Industry service platform and supported by Indian Cellular Association, has been a big success witnessing absolutely fantastic response from companies, professionals and government representatives alike.

While states like Telegana, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh promised to roll out red carpet and special customized packages if Chinese companies planned to set up manufacturing units of certain scale in their states, the Chinese component major Holitech Technology Ltd said it was keenly watching opportunities in Indian component segment and could invest up to USD 1 billion by 2017 for setting up a manufacturing base in India.

Finger print detection, Display, touch screen, camera and cover glasses are some of the products which could be manufactured by Holitech Technology for clients like Samsung, Huawei, Oppo, Vivo, Lenovo etc. The investment and manufacturing plan of Holitech Technology was shared with media persons by Mr. Bingshuan Chen, CEO of the company.

Other Chinese supply chain majors such as Dijing, AAC, MTK, Dongguan, Emdoor, and Abardeen are also proactively looking at opportunities here and scouting for Indian partners with the objective of setting up manufacturing bases in India.

“I believe both Chinese and Indian companies are quite enthusiastic to cooperate and work together to develop a robust mobile manufacturing eco-system in India. It’s going to be a win-win partnership,” said Lingyun Wu, Founder & CEO, Mobile World (Shoujibao), Shenzhen & Organizers of India Mobile Diwali.

“Shoujibao will continue to make efforts and foster this expo as a platform for enhancing cooperation between Chinese and Indian mobile companies,” added Wu.

The three-day fair – Indian Mobile Diwali – which started on Saturday has seen visits of more than 10,000 professionals from Indian mobile and component sector and nearly 200 Chinese, global and Indian mobile and component manufacturers, OEM/ODM participated in this fair.

This expo pavilion has spread of four thousand square meters and was divided into three exhibition areas i.e complete machine, accessories, and intelligent terminals. In expo, various high-tech products have been exhibited e,g the popular CES2016 intelligent robots and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), VR virtual reality technology.
