Grandstream has unveiled a new high-performance 802.11ac Wave-2 WiFi Access Point for testing by the Grandstream Beta Club. Those interested in applying to take part in the beta test of this new intercom product can apply from April 9 – 16, 2019.

For this new beta test, the Grandstream Beta Club is looking for testers with extensive experience in wireless networking, specifically deploying and managing routers and WiFi access points. Ideal applicants are those who have hands-on experience with large WiFi network deployments across various vertical industries.

This new product being released to the Grandstream Beta Club is a high-performance 802.11ac Wave-2 WiFi access point for small to medium sized businesses, multiple floor offices, commercial locations and branch offices. It offers dual-band 802.11ac Wave-2 4×4:4 MU-MIMO technology, dual Gigabit wireline network ports with PoE/PoE+, a sophisticated antenna design for maximum network throughput (aggregate 2.33Gbps wireless throughput) and expanded Wi-Fi coverage range (up to 175 meters).

To ensure easy installation and management, this upcoming WiFi AP uses a controller-less distributed network management design in which the controller is embedded in the product. It is also supported by gwn.cloud, Grandstream’s free cloud WiFi management platform. This WiFi AP is ideal for voice/video-over-WiFi deployments and offers a seamless connection with Grandstream’s WiFi-capable IP phones, including the WP800 series. With support for advanced QoS, low-latency real-time applications, mesh networks, captive portals, 200+ concurrent clients per AP, and industry leading security protection (such as secure boot, random default admin password, unique certificate per device, digitally signed firmware and critical data, etc), this upcoming WiFi AP will be ideal for enterprise network deployments with medium-to-high user density.

30 units of this WiFi Access Point will be available for shipping to selected Beta Club members by the end of April 2019. If selected for this Beta Club opportunity, participants will receive one WiFi AP. If you are interested in applying for this Beta test, submit an application via betaclub.grandstream.com by Tuesday, April 16, 2019.
