Free Fiber is now available for people living in the Tarn-et-Garonne d·partement who are covered by the Octogone Fibre Public Initiative Network ('PIN').
The fact that Free has joined the Octogone Fibre PIN clearly illustrates its commitment to the rollout of fiber throughout France and is in line with its aim of having a presence on Public
Initiative Networks.
Through the Octogone Fibre network, Free is now offering its fiber services to 5,600 homes in the municipalities of Labastide Saint-Pierre, Montech, Finhan, Nohic, Escatalens, Castelsarrasin, Campsas, Varennes, La Ville Dieu du Temple, Villebrumier, Orgueil and
Monbequi.
And in three months' time, Free Fiber will also cover the municipalities of Valence and Moissac.
Free's Fiber offerings are already available to 35,000 other homes in the Tarn-et-Garonne d·partement, located around Montauban (AMII area).
Free’s presence on this new PIN further illustrates its objectives of offering fiber services throughout France and being able to propose a fiber plan to French consumers through the Freebox Pop ('29.99/month for 12 months and then '39.99/month).
Additionally, Free is the only operator in France to offer 10G-EPON fiber technology (subject to the subscriber having a compatible plan and Freebox).
As from today, people living in the Tarn-et-Garonne d·partement can check their eligibility and subscribe for Free Fiber at www.free.fr or on 1033 (a freephone number dedicated to Free Fiber).
