ECI®, a global provider of ELASTIC Network® solutions for service providers, critical infrastructures and data center operators, today announced the appointment of Irit Touitou as Executive Vice President, Global Technology to drive innovation, from concept to fruition, and step up production of 5G products and solutions to its customers around the globe.
With deep technical knowledge spanning more than 20 years, Touitou previously served as VP and General Manager of the Imaging Clinical Apps Business unit at Philips, where she oversaw a global, cross-functional team integrating engineering, service, sales and marketing.
Prior to Philips, she was General Manager and president of the Customer Management Division in Amdocs, leading strategy, product management, R&D, pre-sales and marketing efforts. In this role, she exceeded sales targets and became a driver for exceptional customer experiences.
As more markets roll out 5G networks and trials, there will be a greater demand for an updated network infrastructure capable of supporting more sophisticated services. Throughout 2018, ECI made great strides in its 5G developments and engagements. Early in the year, ECI launched its dynamic, intelligent 5G solution including advanced technologies like slicing, segment routing (SR) and FlexE (Flex Ethernet).
ECI is already engaged with many customers around the world on 5G and expects to see greater demand for this technology in the years to come. Ms. Touitou’s unique experience and expertise will take these developments to the next level and ensure the company can deliver upon its considerable roadmap.
“ECI is a company I’ve admired for more than 20 years, back when I used to be a software developer here, and I’ve kept my eye on it as it’s grown and thrived into the company it is today,” said Touitou. “I cannot wait to continue my journey and rejoin this successful team who are creating flexible networking solutions that bring connectivity and 5G to a global audience, while keeping an eye toward innovation and building trust with our customers.”
“Irit will be a valuable asset to our company as we expand and grow globally to meet the needs of our diverse customer base,” said Darryl Edwards, CEO and President of ECI. “As we pave the way toward a 5G future, Irit’s technical background and ability to create long-term, successful business strategies will go a long way. This is yet another step in supporting the success we’ve had over the last few years, which will ensure that we continue to evolve and adapt to remain competitive leaders in the market today, and well into the future.”
