As the company has increased its bet on India, with the announcement of its local manufacturing initiative – Xiaomi India just had its best ever quarter ever since the company started operations in India in July 2014.
In Q3 2015 (July, August, September) we sold more than 1 million devices. During the quarter, all of our products (Redmi 2 Prime, Mi 4, Mi 4i, and Mi Pad) witnessed a massive increase in demand across all platforms – Mi.com, Amazon, Flipkart, and Snapdeal. Redmi 2 Prime, our first Made in India smartphone, emerged as the best-selling product.
Furthermore, throughout 2015 so far, Mi India has recorded an average quarterly quarter-on-quarter growth of 45%.
