With an aim to remove connectivity driven complexity while at the same time increase efficiency and security involving different models of cloud operations for enterprise community ' BT India is going strong on its 'Cloud of Clouds' vision for India.
'We are getting great response from enterprise customers when it comes to our Cloud of Clouds vision. This is ideally poised to remove complexity while optimizing the efficiency of cloud operations. We know that it is easy to manage when it is on one global network. This is the big value that BT Cloud of Clouds is all about,' explains, Sudhir Narang, Managing Director, BT India.
What is 'Cloud of Clouds' Vision?
BT's Cloud of Clouds is all about leveraging on its global resources to provide reliable and secure connectivity to the enterprise community. This is a new generation of cloud services that allows large organisations around the world to connect easily and securely to the applications and the data they need, independently of where they are hosted. BT's global network is connected to more than 200 data centres, including 48 BT-owned and operated data centres.
In a Cloud of Clouds ecosystem – enterprise can empower their customers to integrate and orchestrate the IT resources hosted on their own private clouds as well as on BT's global cloud platform and on the platforms of other global cloud providers. The new services take advantage of BT's global network infrastructure and build on BT's expertise in the delivery of enterprise-grade cloud services.
Cloud of Clouds and Digital India
Speaking about the government of India's ongoing push to encourage digital enablement in the country and how cloud of clouds vision can enhance this ' Sudhir emphasized that Digital India is all about creation and management of more data and this is where cloud of cloud vision will play an important role.
'More and more digitalization in India would mean more data, more management of data, more storage, more computational power, more virtualization ' and this would mean more cloud of clouds. So this is a great opportunity for us,' he added.
BT's 'cloud of clouds' vision builds on a roadmap for future service delivery and is underpinned by a wide range of services and industry sector solutions, delivered over BT's global network infrastructure. The services are managed by customers through a single user-friendly service catalogue, using BT's new Cloud Management System.

As a globally well entrenched organization, BT is serving customers in 170 countries. The company is working with various partners across the world. Some of its largest relationships are with Cisco, Microsoft & Avaya. BT is also work with technology partners such as Riverbed, EMC, Oracle, Dolby, Polycom and Huawei.
