New FiberPass™ solution dramatically reduces network design and deployment time and provides significant cost savings.

iBwave is proud to announce that Bell, Canada’s largest communications company, is the first operator in the world to adopt iBwave’s new FiberPass solution for fiber to the premises (FTTP) network builds in multi-dwelling units (MDUs).

iBwave’s innovative new solution helps operators achieve up to 10 times faster design and deployment cycles, enables significant cost savings per unit and delivers an improved customer experience.

“iBwave has worked closely with Bell to develop a solution to help accelerate deployment of Bell’s FTTP network in multi-dwelling units to keep pace with ever increasing customer demand,” said Claude Echahamian, CEO of iBwave Solutions. “With FiberPass, a typical FTTP design project that could take weeks to create can be reduced to just days, and sometimes even hours.”

“The efficiency and accuracy of the FiberPass solution has contributed to the rapid expansion of Bell’s broadband network and our fast-growing Fibe TV and Internet services,” said Bruce Furlong, Bell’s Vice President, FTTP Deployment & Access. “Recent software enhancements to FiberPass have helped to further accelerate our inside design cycle as we deliver Canada’s fastest Internet and best TV services to customers in apartments and condos across multiple provinces.”

“While the FiberPass solution is new for both iBwave and Bell, our partnership with Bell began more than 15 years ago when they chose iBwave Design for projects supporting Bell’s wireless network,” added Echahamian.

Beyond this newest partnership with Bell, the new FiberPass solution is also a key part of iBwave’s suite of products.

“At iBwave we see FiberPass as a valuable addition for our customers as well as our roadmap – for us this new solution represents a significant step forward in laying the ground work for a 5G future,” said Echahamian.
