AT&T is introducing the AT&T amiGO Jr. Tab™, a new tablet that offers parents full control of their child’s experience remotely on their own device all in one place with the accompanying free AT&T amiGO™ app. This marks the first of many products AT&T plans to bring to market for families and their growing connectivity needs.
In a recent survey commissioned by AT&T, 62% of parents feel a level of guilt when giving their child a device, with behavior concerns and access to inappropriate content as top concerns. Nearly 80% of parents expressed more comfort in purchasing a device for their child if they were able to control settings directly from their personal phones. These insights drove AT&T to create the AT&T amiGO Jr. Tab™ and app, designed to empower parents with comprehensive control while also shaping a safe environment for kids to explore and stay connected.
Key features:
Safe browsing, playtime limits, location monitoring, and more all easily controlled remotely in one place with the AT&T amiGO™ app – even for multiple tablets.
Secure messaging, voice calls and video calling with parent-approved contacts through the AT&T amiGO™ platform.
Lightweight design with built-in Eye Care mode to filter out harmful blue light and included protective case with kickstand.
Plus, the tablet’s loaded with teacher approved apps, games, and videos that spark hands on creativity and play from Google Kids Space – at no additional cost.
Customers can easily add the tablet to their AT&T wireless plan for data on the go.
“Customers told us that they wanted a safe, affordable and educational device for kids – and we developed the new AT&T amiGO Jr. Tab™ to fill that need. It’s a revolutionary device that provides parents with a controlled and reliable option for their children’s digital adventures,” said Jen Roberston, President of AT&T Consumer. “AT&T is dedicated to developing products that evolve alongside your family in today’s digital world, and I’m excited to expand our ecosystem of family-oriented products that our customers need.”
How do I know if my child is ready for their first device?
AT&T has teamed up with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) to create free tools to help families navigate today’s connected world. Children are “growing up digital” and to help parents, caregivers, and families create healthy digital habits.
