Vietnam's FPT Telecom has recently launched its 1GBPS connectivity in Vietnam covering Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. And the telecom operator is now going strong on this gigabit connectivity and plans to cover Vietnam.
The company is participating at Vietnam's premier ICT event ' ICT COMM 2017 at Ho Chi Minh City.
Speaking on the sidelines of the mega ICT event ' Trung Le, Deputy Director, Infrastructure Development Center, FPT Telecom said, 'This is a big evolution as far as internet connectivity is concerned. We have launched our 1 GBPS internet connectivity services in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, soon the services will be available in other parts of Vietnam as well,' he added.
This service is christened as SOC ' which means Squirrel in Vietnamese. 'We call this SOC as this is super fast, super agile and users can do multiple things with this mega connectivity,' he explained.
The company’s vision for Gigabit connectivity is fueled by customer demand coming in for increased usage of bandwidth-extensive applications such as gaming, Virtual Reality usage and adoption of multi-screen habits among the end users.
