Xiaomi Expands its Online Footprint, Partners with Snapdeal and Amazon in India

Expanding its online availability footprint in India, Xiaomi has entered into online distribution partnership with Snapdeal and Amazon in India. With this announcement, Xiaomi is now available at three online e-commerce marketplaces including Flipkart.

This development is part of the company's 5th birthday. Xiaomi’s online party – Mi Fan Festival (#MiFanFest) – is coming to India for the first time ever to celebrate its 5th birthday! As announced last week by Xiaomi CEO and founder Lei Jun, Mi Fan Festival 2015 will be held on April 8 to celebrate its 5th birthday and thank its fans for bringing Xiaomi this far.

Mi India revealed today that it is joining Mi Fan Festival with a series of exciting offers for Mi fans on April 8.

It has been a truly exciting journey for Mi India so far. In just 5 months since its launch, Xiaomi became the 5th largest smartphone vendor in the Indian market with a 4% market share in Q4 2014 (according to IDC).

Mi Fan Festival 2015 is Mi India’s way of showing its appreciation to all its Indian fans! The day of festivities with the following offers will start on April 8, 12 noon, and last till midnight.

•Mi 4 – special discount for one day only: Get Rs. 2,000 off on any Mi 4 purchased on April 8 only. Mi 4 (16GB) will be available for Rs. 17,999 (usually priced at Rs. 19,999) and Mi 4 (64GB) will go for Rs. 21,999 (usually priced at Rs. 23,999).
•Redmi Note 4G – free Mi Power Bank or Mi In-Ear Headphones for one day only: Receive a free set of Mi In-ear Headphones for any Redmi Note 4G purchased from online partners – Flipkart, Snapdeal and Amazon. Get a 5200 mAh Mi Power Bank free for any Redmi Note 4G purchased from offline partners – Airtel and The Mobile Store.
•Redmi 2 – open sale with no registrations: Redmi 2 will be available across all partners – Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon and The Mobile Store.
•Mi Pad is back – open sale with no registrations: Purchase the popular Mi Pad across all online partners – Flipkart, Snapdeal, and Amazon.

To mark the special occasion, Mi India also announced today two new partnerships with Snapdeal and Amazon, giving Mi fans more ways to get their hands on their favourite Mi products. With the new partnerships, customers in India can now purchase Mi products across all major online market-places in India: Flipkart, Snapdeal and Amazon.

Mi Stores will be created on Snapdeal and Amazon, where customers can choose from a range of Mi phones and accessories. The Mi stores go live today, while the sale starts on April 8, 12 noon.

In addition, Mi products are also available in offline retail channels through Airtel and The Mobile Store.
