Anritsu, AUTOCRYPT to Optimize Automotive Security Testing

“By combining our decades of cybersecurity expertise with Anritsu’s network simulation capabilities, we are setting a new standard for security testing in the 5G era,” said Daniel ES Kim, GCTO, AUTOCRYPT. “Testing can often be a tedious process, which discourages homologation. But with AutoCrypt CSTP, OEMs have access to a customized and efficient testing platform. Our partnership with Anritsu will streamline testing, enabling OEMs to meet stringent cybersecurity requirements and provide a secure driving experience for more drivers.”

“With growing concerns about vehicle security, cybersecurity testing has never been more critical,” said Yukiharu Ogawa , General Manager, IoT Test Solution Division, Anritsu. “We are excited to collaborate with AUTOCRYPT to provide the tools needed to test systems using our cellular network simulator. By formalizing this MOU at CES, we believe it will underscore both companies’ commitment to promoting a more secure future.”

This MoU comes at a critical time as governments and regulators around the world implement stricter cybersecurity standards for connected and autonomous vehicles. With frameworks such as UNECE WP.29 UN R155, 156, India’s AIS-189 and China’s GB/T, automotive manufacturers and suppliers are under increasing pressure to demonstrate compliance.

The collaboration between AUTOCRYPT and Anritsu will also enable comprehensive security testing for a variety of applications beyond vehicle communication systems. This collaboration will help address the diverse security requirements of modern connected mobility, providing the industry with an effective solution to meet regulatory requirements, as well as improve resilience across a wide range of technologies.
