Vodafone and Amazon Leo, Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network, have signed an agreement to connect many more 4G and 5G mobile sites in remote areas to improve coverage for customers with limited connectivity across Europe and Africa.

Building on previous achievements - including live 5G network slicing trials at a major Stockholm soccer Derby last year with Tre Sverige (Three Sweden), Sony, and Swedish sports photography agency Bildbyrån - the new proof of concept includes a CAMARA-compliant and API-driven on-demand network slice reservation and activation capability which can be used where and when it is needed.
