The LoRa Alliance·, the global association of companies backing the open LoRaWAN· standard for the internet of things (IoT) low-power wide-area networks (LPWANs), has announced that the Electronic Communications Committee (ECC) of the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT) has officially approved the Decision ECC DEC(25)021, confirming the regulatory framework enabling satellite-to-low power device communication with satellites (LPD-S) communications within the short-range device (SRD) 862-870MHz frequency band in Europe.

Motorola Solutions has been selected by the Band Administration Entity (EAF), an organisation created by the Brazilian Telecommunications Agency (Anatel), to implement a new federal mission-critical communications solution that will enable Brazil's defense and public safety organisations to seamlessly collaborate during joint missions.
