India's Bharti Airtel and Ericsson have strengthened their partnership through a new collaboration to deploy Ericsson's secure, high-performing 5G Core network offerings to the benefit of Airtel's millions of customers and enterprises across India.
Airtel lands the SEA-ME-WE-6 cable in Chennai
Bharti Airtel Limited, one of India's leading telecommunications service providers, landed the new SEA-ME-WE 6 (Southeast Asia-Middle East-West Europe-6, or SMW6) in Chennai. The company had already landed the cable in Mumbai on December 30, 2024.
