The Next Generation Mobile Networks Alliance (NGMN) has announced new guidance designed to help Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) simplify 5G network operations, to reduce total cost of ownership, cut operational complexity, and achieve sustainability goals, ultimately enabling more reliable, efficient and innovative services for the benefit of customers.

Nokia has announced an agreement with Telia to enhance the communication service provider's 5G networks. In an extension of the two companies' longstanding partnership, Telia will deploy Nokia's cloud-native, 5G Standalone (SA) Core in its networks in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Estonia and Lithuania. In addition, Telia will use Nokia's Radio Access Network (RAN) portfolio to provide additional coverage and capacity for its network in Finland.
