TIM activates eSIM without a QR code on Samsung Galaxy S25

A simple notification on your smartphone will immediately activate your TIM eSIM, without you having to scan the QR Code received via email. TIM, the first in Italy, with the new Samsung Galaxy S25 launches the new feature for a totally digital customer experience that further simplifies the smartphone user experience.

The initiative is aimed at customers who purchase a smartphone from the Samsung Galaxy S25 line (S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra) at TIM stores and who switch to TIM or activate a new mobile line with eSIM, or convert their traditional SIM.

The instant activation of eSIMs without QR Codes uses the GSMA 'eSIM Discovery' technical standard to associate the eID code of the eSIM with the customer's mobile number, ready for use. This feature will later be extended to other compatible smartphones, significantly contributing to reducing the impact on the environment. The usual methods of activating the eSIM via QR Code remain valid in case of online purchase or for all other devices at TIM stores.

This strengthens the customer purchasing experience in complete safety and in line with the 'Digital with human touch' model promoted by TIM which leverages the advantages and potential offered by the digital sphere, combined with the human value and widespread presence of points of sale throughout the country.

TIM activates eSIM without a QR code on Samsung Galaxy S25

In the launch phase, the new Samsung Galaxy S25s are on limited promotion at half price using TIMFin financing, with instalments starting from 15 euros per month in the 24 or 30 month formula (at zero interest and with no down payment). The model with double the GB of memory can also be purchased for the same price. The amount of the instalments can be reduced to 6 euros if the customer trades in a used smartphone (TIM Rivaluta option).

The new smartphones can already be ordered online and in TIM stores starting from the launch, and will be delivered free of charge to the customer's home. They will also be available in TIM stores from the end of January.
